David Orson, O.D.

Dr. David Orson was inspired at a young age to enter the field of optometry by his own eye doctor, who helped him achieve comfortable and clear vision for the first time. Dr. Orson completed his BS in Biology at Pittsburg State University, before earning his Doctor of Optometry with Honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
In 1994, Dr. Orson settled down in the Lee’s Summit area to provide primary and medical eye care, including glaucoma treatment and diabetes and inflammatory eye disease, to patients of all ages. He loves getting to know his patients and educating them both about their current vision and how their eyes may change over time.
He’s also involved in optometry on the city, state, and national levels, as a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City.

Get to Know Dr. Orson
Dr. Orson’s love of the south was instilled from his childhood in Olathe, KS, and he always intended to return to the region. He loves spending time with his family, which includes his wife of nearly three decades Kati, his four grown children, and his growing grandkids.
In what little free time he has left over after accounting for work and family time, he enjoys woodworking, playing guitar, and loud music. Dr. Orson’s dreams include hiking the Appalachian Trail with his Eagle Scout son, enjoying a second cruise trip, and a lifetime supply of Mexican food, chocolate chip ice cream, cheddar cheese Chex Mix, and Cherry Coke Zero.
