Jason Lake, O.D., of Eyecare Specialties, has been elected President of the Missouri Optometric Association (MOA). The MOA represents more than 500 doctors of optometry and other eye care professionals in Missouri. Dr. Lake was sworn into office on October 15, 2016 in Branson, Missouri during the association’s annual meeting.
Dr. Lake has served on the MOA Board of Directors for ten years. He is a member of the West Central Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Lake and his wife Dr. Susan Lake, operate practices in Warrensburg, Clinton, Sedalia and Lee’s Summit. He is a sought after speaker on the subject of practice management as well as buying and selling a practice. He also hosts a weekly radio show as a college football analyst for KOKO radio in Warrensburg.
Dr. Lake founded Eyecare Specialties in 1998 after receiving his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where he graduated with honors. With offices in Sedalia, Clinton, and Warrensburg, and Lee’s Summit, Dr. Lake's practice serves clients throughout Central Missouri. As a member of Optimist International, the Rotary Club, and the Chamber of Commerce as well as serving multiple terms as president of the Warrensburg Park and Recreation board, Dr. Lake has demonstrated a strong commitment to the local community.
